Antique rifle Snider-Enfield model 1860 MK II *, 577 Snider single shot breech block, w/ bbl length 24" [Blued finish, fixed front and adjustable rear sights. Half length hardwood stock. Brass butt plate and trigger guard. Serial number under rear sight tang. Other markings include "27" on top of rear sight, Roman numeral and an asterisk above chamber, crown over "VR", "1860 Enfield", crown over an arrow, and "19" on lock plate. "RM Enfield Manufacturer" roundelle on right side of stock, "354" and "QOR" on butt plate, "CM" on breech block plus assorted proof marks all over. Mechanically functions reasonably well. Stock is heavily damaged. Appears to be broken clear through the center of trigger guard plus a large chunk missing under hammer. Most bluing worn leaving overall gray/black patina and 80% surface rust plus other use, handling and storage marks.] serial # 6585, PAL required
