1. THIS IS AN ONLINE ONLY AUCTION SALE! NO “In Person Bidding” !

3. Terms of the sale are Cash, Debit, MasterCard, Visa or Certified Cheque. EFT (ETransfers to: admin@scribnernet.com)
4. There will be an ONLINE Buyer’s Premium of 15%
5. There will be a convenience fee for all Credit Card transactions of 3%
6. Each unit will be PICTURED & /or Video Recorded for inspection only. The storage units may NOT be entered for inspection or seen in person. All purchased contents are sold “as-is-where-is,” without warranty or guarantees of any kind, express or implied, or with representation as to their suitability or fitness for any purpose whatsoever. Unless announced to the contrary, Buyer is bidding on the entire contents of each unit, not on selected pieces. Operator reserves the right to bid.
7. Buyer must remove all contents and leave the unit in clean, presentable manner within 7 days of the day of the sale. If not a rental agreement will need to be agreed upon with Wainwright Self Storage. At its sole discretion, Operator may treat contents left after the removal deadline as abandoned, and subject to resale or disposal, in which event no refund of purchase price will be made to Buyer. We ask strongly that you remove all items from the Unit !
8. When the Auctioneer says “sold” title on the property shall pass to the highest bidder once payment has been received in full. All risk of loss to the contents of each purchased unit becomes Buyer’s responsibility. Operator has no liability whatsoever as to the contents. Should a tie or dispute arise between two or more bidders the Auctioneer may reopen the bidding between the high bidders until the property is sold. The decision of the Auctioneer shall be final & absolute.
9. The Auctioneer reserves the right to add or withdraw any item before or during the sale, to regulate the bidding and to accept or reject any and all bids.
10. NSF cheques or stoppage of payment will be turned over to the legal authorities and all costs will be at the purchaser’s expense.
11. GST will be charged where applicable.
12. The Auctioneers, their agents, the owners of the premises and all persons for whom the Auctioneer may be acting shall not be liable to any person for damages to their person or property while in, on or about the premises of Wainwright Self Storage, nor shall they be liable for hidden defects. All persons are on these premises of Wainwright Self Storage at their own risk.
13. Bidding is done publicly ONLINE ONLY and each winning bidder will be required to pay in full at the Auction Office (Scribner Auction :2209-23 Street, Wainwright, AB) NOTE: Identification may be requested/required if you are not known to the Cashier/Auction Agents or Wainwright Self Storage Owners!

15. The winning bidder agrees to any further conditions required by Wainwright Self Storage with regard to possession of the unit for the time after payment has been made to Scribner Auction Ltd.
16. If you purchase a vehicle, boat, or any other item which should be registered at Motor Vehicles, the Storage Facility will give you the necessary paperwork for this transaction. It will be your responsibility to take this paperwork to Motor Vehicles, to obtain the title. It may take a few days before Motor Vehicles issues your title, depending upon the workload and the previous history of the item (they may have to conduct record searches).
17. Bidding on any item/unit indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions. Any additional terms or conditions of sale shall be announced prior to the auction.
18. I (we) agree to assign any or all properties, goods or chattels to the selling agent (Wainwright Self Storage) under the Personal Property Securities Act in order that they may recover any monies owing against purchases.

Scribner Auction is not responsible for missing parts. No bidder shall retract his/her bid. All sales are final. In all cases of dispute, Scribner Auction Ltd.’s decision shall be final.

Buyers are strongly urged to personally inspect items prior to bidding, and each purchaser shall be held to have satisfied themselves as to the condition, age, and authenticity of all items they plan to bid on. Buyers shall not be entitled to make any objection after the listing closes on any grounds whatsoever. SCRIBNER AUCTION IS NOT responsible for the condition of any item(s) or firearms AND AGAIN offers no opinion. ALL ITEMS, including the firearms are AS IS WHERE IS.
11. You must rely on the pictures provided to inspect the items. Therefore, each Purchaser shall be held to have satisfied themselves as to the condition & specs of all items based on pictures provided. If in person preview is not possible, please review the pictures provided. Based on these circumstances, as an online or absentee bidder, you hereby agree that you are bidding sight unseen.
12. IF SHIPPING IS AVAILABLE, packing & shipping costs will be the buyer's responsibility. Receipts will be sent with the purchase or emailed. (Scribner Auction Ltd. is willing to assist with arranging Freight / Trucking when & if possible) Any work needed for transportation of equipment purchased is the responsibility of the Buyer.
13. The Auctioneer will not knowingly accept a bid from any Consignor or Agent for the Seller.
14.No item(s) may be removed from any auction site until said funds have cleared. A paper copy or emailed receipt marked “PAID” will need to be shown at the auction site in order for purchased items to be released or removed from the auction site.
15. Scribner Auction Ltd. reserves the right to close an active Bidder’s account if they believe the Bidder has breached or is likely to breach any part of the Terms & Conditions.
16. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to purchase insurance for their purchases immediately.
17. The Bidder acknowledges that an auction site, whether on private or public land, is a potentially dangerous place. Any person at the auction site is there at their own risk and should advise their agents, employees, and all other accompanying parties of the same. No person shall have any claim against Scribner Auction Ltd. or the Seller for any losses, damages, accidents, discomforts incurred, or injuries sustained while viewing the auction sale items on or off the property, or during removal of purchased items following the completion of the auction.
18. The Bidder agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Scribner Auction Ltd. and their Seller’s from any and all actions, causes of action, suits, damages, costs and losses of any nature, arising from the purchase or use of any item, or the attendance or participation of Bidder, their agents or employees, at the auction sale and/or on the auction site whether before, during, or after the auction sale.
19. All purchases must be removed from the auction site within the time announced or posted at the auction. All purchases not removed within the time announced shall be considered abandoned, unless other arrangements have been made.
20. Scribner Auction Ltd. is providing a Live Internet Auction Bidding Platform as a service to the Bidder. Under no circumstances shall the Bidder have any kind of claim against Scribner Auction Ltd. if the internet service fails to work correctly before or during the live auction. Scribner Auction Ltd. will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source.
21. Scribner Auction Ltd. presents their Auction Sales on LIVE AUCTION WORLD & ICOLLECTOR (powered by LIVE AUCTION GROUP) Platforms which employ anti-sniping technology. This technology ensures that all bidders have a fair opportunity to win item(s) by extending the auction of a particular item for a predetermined time.
